The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a production line, supervise and monitor production operations, monitor the quality of work, and ensure to deliver maximum quality in a profitable manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supervises the daily Production activities in the plant.

2. Conducts routine inspection on processing and production to ensure that the facility and personnel conforms to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.

3. Monitors and adjusts manpower schedule of Production Unit as needed.

4. Oversees safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.

5. Performs verification of production output according to specifications.

6. Prepares reports on performance and progress and present them to immediate superiors.

7. Detects issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.

8. Coordinates with other Unit Managers and/or Supervisors concerning quality aspects.

9. Enforces disciplinary actions as may be necessary to Production Staff in accordance with existing company policies and guidelines.

10. Ensures compliance to established HACCP / Food Safety Program.

11. Reports to superior any non-conformances observed that may result to food safety and quality issue.

12. Performs other duties/tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.

Working Condition:

In the course of performing the duties of the position, the Production Supervisor shall work in generally comfortable environment. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) shall be strictly reinforced inside the GFMC premises especially in the production/processing area. The use of PPE is an important food safety standard.

Job Requirements/Competencies:

Academic/Professional Qualifications:

College Graduate preferably Science Related Course (BS Food Technology, BS Microbiology, BS Biology, BS Nutrition and Dietetics, BS Chemistry,)

Relevant Experience:

With at least one-three years of relevant working experience in quality control or quality assurance work.

Skills/Competencies:

o Knowledgeable in basic laboratory testing

o Knowledgeable in operating basic laboratory equipment

o Knowledgeable in GMP, HACCP, Quality Management System, Food Safety and Quality Assurance

o Knowledgeable in Food and Beverage Manufacturing Operations

o Analytical and research oriented

o Computer literate (Microsoft Office applications and other computer related basics)

o With good oral and written communication skills

o Resourceful, organized and systematic
