Job Summary:

Creates Submittal and Shop drawings packages using SolidWorks and Draftsight.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Interpret Sales contracts, drawings, and sketches to produce a drawing submittal package using SolidWorks.

Produce accurate and detailed shop drawings using SolidWorks.

Identify, resolve or question discrepancies as necessary and report to the manager.

Comprehend vender product specifications.

Produce drawings using SolidWorks/Draftsight.

Create & respond to emails using Outlook regarding drafting projects.

Create drafting library content.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Research and resolve custom projects and report results to manager.

Coordinate with Sales and Engineering departments to ensure project accuracy and completion.

Knowledgeable in any of the following industries: Fenestration, Architecture or Manufacturing is a plus.

Physical Demands:

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations sound.

Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc)

Work Environment:

The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.).

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

High school graduate. Some College preferred, but not required.

Experience or Education as a CAD drafter is required.

Three Plus additional years of drafting experience required.

SolidWorks experience 3 Years minimum. (Systems and program solutions
