Job Description

Salary: $15-$30/hr, Based on Experience

Job duties:

Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on equipment, motors, pneumatic tools, converter systems, and production machines by following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

To qualify for this job you must have:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum one-year experience as a technician

We’d also love it if you:

Are a licensed mechanic (preferred but not required)

Have experience in the Food Industry (preferred but not required)

The work environment will include cold temperatures between 50 to 10 (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals Villari does provide cold-weather gear!

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud

Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds

Able to drive a registered motor vehicle to satisfy daily requirements

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Able to speak and hear for safety and productivity

Use scanners, tablets, radios, phones, and other warehouse machinery

Frequently required to stand, use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle, feel, reach and pull

Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
