Our law firm is seeking an experienced family law attorney who can assist our clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including divorce, child custody, guardianship of a minor, and post-final judgment modification and contempt actions. Many of our clients are also survivors of domestic violence and/or coercive control. Jobseekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. $80,000 - $100,000+ yearly (dependent upon monthly billable hour requirement) plus bonus compensation availableCompensation:

$80,000 - $100,000 + yearlyResponsibilities:

Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed

Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action

Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process

Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases

Keep client files properly organized and up to date

Ensure timely communication with clients

Qualifications:

Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations

Licensed in Massachusetts (required), Rhode Island (preferred)

At least 2-3 years of family law practice

While the attorney must be able to attend scheduled court hearings in Rhode Island and Central-Eastern Mass (we are based in Worcester county), office hours and client meetings are completely remote/virtual. We also offer a flexible work schedule and sustainable billable hour requirement (as low as 80 hours/month) to accommodate working parents.
