Operation/Administrative Intern Job Description
Summary:
Support all administrative aspects of Elijah Rising operations and programs by directly assisting the Executive Director and Operations Director with scheduling, data collection, and various other administrative tasks.
Objectives:
Reply to administrative emails with speed, accuracy, and courtesy
Receive calls, take messages, and route them appropriately
Maintain office and executive calendar
Create, maintain, and implement tracking mechanisms to gather and report data in a timely manner
Serve as administrative support for Headquarter staff
Complete any documentation needed for permitting, licensing, and applicable applications as needed
Research various aspects of the organization such as funding opportunities, clinical research, or governance practices
Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversee volunteers for various events
Coordinate logistics for programs, events, and volunteer opportunities
Participating in Bible studies, prayer, and discipleship meetings in accordance with Elijah Rising’s Christian faith.
Qualifications:
Must have communication, writing, and language skills
Must be extremely detail-oriented
Must have strong time-management skills
Must possess a high capacity for managing multiple event and project logistics, computer, and communication skills
Excellent computer skills needed
Able to create spreadsheets, graphs, charts, presentations, and other documents
Must be able to manage time efficiently to meet expected weekly deadlines
Able to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and general business periodicals
Able to write reports, presentations, blogs, and essays, as needed mathematical and reasoning skills
Must be able to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
This internship is unpaid for a mutually agreed upon duration of time in which the purpose is for the intern to acquire skills beneficial to their future career development. By entering this internship, the intern is acknowledging that they understand there is no compensation offered nor is there a guarantee of employment upon completion of the internship.
