GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for servicing customers in a professional manner and be an ambassador for American Aluminum Extrusion Company as well as ensuring the customer’s product is transported and delivered in a professional manner without incident.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Conducts inspections before and during trips to ensure safe working conditions of the tractor (truck) and trailer.

Communicates all maintenance problems to the fleet mechanic and management.

Responsible for maintaining, cleanliness, appearance, and the safe operation of all Commercial Delivery vehicles on a daily and weekly basis.

Must be 21 years old (

Any other task or duty as assigned or required.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.

Must meet the Department of Transportation DOT and Company mental and physical requirements.

Must be physically and mentally able to safely perform the essential functions without obvious risk of injury to the employee, co-workers and general public.

Must have a Class B or C CDL with active emphasis on obtaining Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements from the state where you reside. Timeframe to be discussed during interview.

Must have at minimum 2 years CDL with Interstate Commerce experience.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Exposure to all types of temperatures.

Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stooping, bending, lifting and reaching overhead.

Physical strength sufficient to move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Sufficient manual dexterity required to perform job properly.

High degree of care required to operate in a safe manner.

Appropriate safety equipment is necessary.

Overtime hours may be required.

Requires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Occasional overnight deliveries.

There may be regular exposure to mild discomfort from factors such as dust, fumes, odors, temperature extremes, loud noise, strong drafts and bright lights. Typically located in a warehouse setting.
