Caseload: 5-6 students with diverse needs

Certifications Required: SPED, ESL, Generalist/Core Content for Middle School

Description: ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time position in Carrollton, TX. The selected candidate will work in a middle school setting with a small group of 5-6 students, each presenting a wide variation in eligibilities. The primary focus of this classroom is to address extreme and unpredictable behavior. The position requires a Special Education certification, ESL certification, and a generalist/core content certification for the specified age group.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver instruction based on individualized education plans (IEPs)

Implement behavior intervention strategies to address extreme and unpredictable behavior

Collaborate with para-educator and other support staff

Conduct assessments and participate in the development of IEP goals

Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Maintain regular communication with parents and other team members

Qualifications:

Texas Teaching Certification in Special Education (SPED)

ESL Certification

Generalist or Core Content Certification for Middle School

Experience working with students with extreme behavioral challenges

Strong classroom management skills

Effective communication and collaboration abilities
