Life University is looking for a dynamic and compassionate individual to serve as Visiting Professor for the Center for Chiropractic Research. The Visiting is responsible for advancement of the mission driven research agenda and enterprise at Life University. The Visiting Professor for the Center for Chiropractic Research works to promote, facilitate, and advance the chiropractic research program at Life University through rigorous mission-focused research, collaboration initiatives, and mentorship of faculty and students. The Visiting Professor will contribute to the development of a strong reputation and research portfolio for the institution.

Responsibilities

Performs a wide range of highly technical and complex research duties.

Has documented scientific achievements and increasing technical, management, leadership, and professional expertise necessary to advance translational research programs and practice-based research networks.

Maintains updated expertise and knowledge of research and experimental platforms for analysis, design, and interpreting results.

Demonstrates increased responsibility through management of teams and leadership of scientific projects by applying advanced knowledge, skills, and input necessary for protocol development, as well as facilitating in some training aspects of other team members.

Assists with the development, refinement, and expansion of the University’s learning healthcare community.

Assists with the expansion of the CCR’s community clinician program through recruitment support.

May assist in grant and other funding applications as necessary and appropriate, or with approval of the Director of the CCR.

May serve as lead investigator on research projects in alignment with the mission and research agenda of the center and/or have full responsibilities for specific areas of instrumentation or methodology development and user support.

With the approval of the Director of the CCR, may be principal investigators on funded proposals.

Prepares and communicates research through presentations and informational materials to audiences of different levels to disseminate research data, findings, and significance of work.

Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or requested.

Anticipates, listens to, understands and responds to customer needs. Delivers work products and services to customers in a way that reflects positively upon the department and the University.

Requirements

A minimum of a Master’s level degree with research focus or clinical doctorate with research experience

Demonstrated expertise in research design, implementation, presentation, and publication.

In depth understanding of patient reported outcomes creation and validation

Strong outreach, leadership, and community-building skills

Strong meeting facilitation skills

Strong presentation and training skills

Exceptional writing skills and experience

Ability to work with and maintain confidential employee and research participant information.

Experience in development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhering to strict timelines.

Computer skills: Microsoft Office applications.
