Job Title: Floor Assembler I

Department: Production

Report to: Production Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Mechanicsville, VA

SUMMARY: The Floor Assembler I performs repetitive bench or assembly line operations to mass-produce mechanical and/or electrical products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.

· Assemble parts, components or units in specified relationship to each other.

· Use hand tools and power tools to assemble parts according to product specifications.

· Identify units that fail tests and repair as necessary.

· Package assemblies as required.

· Run machines, including arbor presses and riveting machines, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.

· Achieve production efficiency and quality standards.

· Maintain clean and safe work area.

· Rotate workstations according to business and production needs.

· Adhere to work schedules.

· Follow company policies regarding attendance, overtime, cell phone use, breaks and smoking.

Job Requirements Skills and Qualifications

· Experience using hand and power tools.

· Work under moderate supervision

· Rotate work areas as needed.

· Attention to detail and quality focus.

· Excellent attendance

Education and/or Experience:

· High School Diploma; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Must be at least 18 years of age.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is

regularly required to sit, talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers,

handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee

regularly works in a production/ warehouse environment where you can expect elevated

levels of noise, dust and forklift traffic. It is a non-temperature

controlled environment where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in

the winter.
