Role Summary

This team member will assist in two different areas of the business. The first being the final assembly of our screwdrivers. This position will also include compressing three parts together to form the final product, pulling parts from stock and packing orders into boxes and preparing packages for shipment processing. The other part of this position will be quality control, where the team member will be performing quality checks on all incoming shipments of products and raw goods and entering data into spreadsheets to determine whether the products are conforming or non-conforming. This role will require very strong knowledge of calipers, a tape measure, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, as well as a high attention to detail.

Roles and Responsibilities

Assemble screwdrivers using light machinery

Recording daily builds for production tracking

Pulling and packing orders

Perform physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements.

Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.

Complete and communicate inspections on a timely basis.

Entering data into Excel spreadsheets

Use colorimeter to perform color scans of incoming raw materials.

Collaborate with Langley Quality team on incoming raw materials.

Experience & Skills Required

Very strong understanding of modern technology (i.e. standard computers, mobile phone apps, Microsoft Office – primarily Word and Excel)

Demonstrated strong initiative and ability for independently and efficiently carrying out problem-solving investigations and identifying effective countermeasures.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Sharp attention to detail and dedication to consistency

Confident and a quick learner

Ability to lift 60+ pounds on a regular basis.

Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.

A “get it done” attitude.

Former use of colorimeters is an asset.
