Job Description

The General Manager is responsible for the safety, operational, and financial performance of the company’s San Antonio operations. The General Manager will also serve as the liaison between customers, clients, engineers, and the company’s field personnel.

Salary $100-125k

Essential Duties

Track the company’s key performance indicators (KPI’s) for the San Antonio operations.

Manage contract processes including estimating, bidding, and execution of well drilling and pump service contracts.

Coordinate San Antonio operations with general contractors and subcontractors routinely.

Visit water well projects on a regular, planned basis (both scheduled and unscheduled).

Oversee communication with field personnel, customers and the company’s sales staff.

Assist the executive management team in designing the annual business plan. Implement the plan and provide specific and consistent direction to San Antonio staff.

Collaborate with the HSE Director and operations supervisors to ensure employees are adhering to the company safety guidelines.

Develop and manage budgetary requirements for job costs and operations.

Assist with evaluating equipment readiness for contractual specifications and backlog. This includes managing refurbishments and assisting with purchasing needs as directed. It also includes assisting with needs in the drilling, service and logistics departments as directed.

Monitor and direct the coordination of service equipment repairs, maintenance requirements, and various upgrades with the Facilities & Fleet Manager (based out of the Houston facility).

Oversee the human resource function for San Antonio’s operations staff, including but not limited to: reviewing employment applications and interviewing applicants; recommending hiring decisions; recommending and executing firing decisions; recommending compensation, evaluating performance, training and modifying work as directed by human resources for accommodation needs; complying with 1 policies or management directives and problem resolution while remaining in contact with the HR department and supervisors on all operations personnel matters.

Perform all independent and team efforts in a professional and timely manner.

Perform other duties as assigned, which may include working in another role or in another department as needed.
