MANAGER/PARTS CLERK FOR DEISEL MECHANIC SHOP

PAY: SALARY BASED ON EXPERIENCE

INTERSATE TRUCK SERVICES IN JEFFERSONVILLE INDIANA IS LOOKING FOR A HIGHLY ORGANIZED INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN OUR TEAM!

THIS PERSON WILL CALL AND ORDER PARTS THAT MECHANICS NEED, INVENTORY, PICK UP PARTS, RECIEVE PARTS. HELP DO ALL PARTS AND MATERIAL HANDLEING FOR THE MECHANICS. MANAGE MECHANICS WORK, TIME AND HELP MECHANICS WHEN NEEDED.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

Request parts and supplies from internal and external sources;

Other duties as assigned by management;

Maintain appropriate inventory levels ;

Respond quickly and accurately to part requests from shop personnel;

Provide superior customer service, in person and over the telephone;

Issue parts from inventory to work orders;

Issue purchase orders to vendors;

Process warranty cores for return;

Restock Inventory;

Data entry experience in a vehicle maintenance/parts environment preferred but not mandatory

Manage Mechanics work

REQUIREMENTS:

One year of experience in parts background suggested but not mandatory

Must be able to maintain a safe, reasonably clean and organized work environment;

Must be able to read English;

Must be able to follow directions;

Must be able to work basic computer functions;

Must be able to pass drug test and background check;

Must be able to read, write, and speak English;

1 year auto parts experience preferred

Must have valid drivers license.

Must be computer literate;

Job Type: Full time

Schedule: Mon-Friday. Day shift
