Your team

We are the project management office of the newly formed central marketing services function, whose role it is to drive cohesion and efficiency of our marketing across UKI.

This role will report into the Director of Marketing – Change & Effectiveness. The team is responsible for understanding the investments into our full funnel of marketing activity.

As the Senior Analyst: Marketing Effectiveness and Econometrics, you will be important in understanding our marketing investments across the marketing funnel. Your role will be to support in ensuring our measurement framework that looks to measure and attribute across our marketing funnel. You will help us develop in partnership with Data Science, BI & Analytics and relevant partners to develop and build out the most robust scientific methodologies (inclusive of econometrics, geo-tests, multi-touch attribution).

You will help Marketing Services lead the prioritisation within the WOW with Data Science, BI & Analytics. Your role will be to challenge our thinking, models and approaches and help us step change our marketing measurement and effectiveness.

We are looking for an experienced analytical mind who will partner with our agency teams and internal analytics community to support the marketing effectiveness team on the investment recommendations to key partners.

What you’ll do

Conduct sophisticated econometric and statistical analysis to understand the impact of marketing activities on brand performance, in partnership with our econometrics agency.

Collaborate with marketing and agency teams to integrate analytical insights into brand strategies and campaign development.

Analyse market trends, consumer behaviours, and driven dynamics to find opportunities and challenges for brand growth.

Develop and maintain brand performance dashboards and reports, manipulating data in its raw format and providing regular insights to guide marketing decisions.

Utilise a variety of data sources to build a comprehensive view of the brand's position in the market.

Develop and refine models for marketing mix optimization, customer segmentation, and brand equity measurement.

Build interactive dashboards and reports, and present sophisticated analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner to partners at various levels.

Stay updated on the latest developments in brand analytics, econometrics, and marketing research techniques.

Monitor, report and diagnose trends in KPIs, automating wherever possible.

Communicate and present clearly to colleagues across marketing, commercial, finance and product.

Support the wider analyst community in developing a deeper understanding of brand analytics, more closely connecting brand and trading metrics.

How you’ll do it

Consider:

Ph.D candidate preferred, Master’s Degree minimum.

1-2 years working experience.

Proficiency in Econometrics, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or a closely related field at a sophisticated level is desired for this position.

Extensive experience in marketing / brand analytics, particularly in econometrics / marketing efficiency measurement (either at econometrics agency or brand/media effectiveness teams).

Experience working with marketing measurement tools (multi-touch attribution, media mix modelling, incrementally and matched-market testing, A/B testing, website analytics platforms).

Excellent SQL and data manipulation / wrangling skills; particularly in reference to Google BigQuery.

Experience in data visualisation and management related tools such as Tableau, Git, dbt etc.

Python (or R) or coding experience is desirable not required.

Strong business insight and experience building sophisticated operational & financial models, e.g., conducting ROI analysis, synthesising recommendations, and addressing senior executives.

Pragmatism: understanding of when analysis is good enough to finish.

Knowledge of the energy, telecoms or price comparison industries is a bonus, but not a requirement.
