Position Overview:

We are looking for a visionary Chief Engineer to lead our manufacturing engineering team. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing engineering projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role is pivotal in driving our company’s technical vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of engineers across multiple disciplines.

Develop and implement engineering strategies and processes to meet business goals.

Ensure the technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness of projects.

Collaborate with other departments, such as Product Development, Equipment Design, and Business Development, to align engineering projects with company objectives.

Oversee the research, development, and implementation of new technologies.

Represent the engineering team in executive meetings and contribute to company-wide strategy and policy making.

Ensure compliance with DoD standards and customer requirements.

Lead an Engineering Team in the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, including the integration of new technology and equipment.

Collaborate with development and equipment design teams to optimize product design for manufacturability and operability.

Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures.

Conduct root cause analysis and resolve complex manufacturing issues.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering. An advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in DoD and/or Aerospace, with a proven track record in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving skills and experience with statistical process control.

Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and experience in automation and robotics is a plus.

Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

Proven track record of leading and delivering complex engineering projects.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Familiarity with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies in DoD.

Ability to travel to client locations for project development and execution.
