Mechanical Engineering Intern

Futronics, a global leading AI robotics company in stealth mode, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our team in historically innovative, Pasadena - steps away from Caltech!

You will have the opportunity to work on the new portfolio of service robots for the healthcare domain as well as innovate on core technologies to differentiate our products. The R&D team is made up of an incredibly diverse set of skilled researchers and engineers with different areas of expertise including Autonomous Navigation, Perception and Computer Vision, Human-Robot Interaction and NLP, Manipulation and Control, Mechatronics, and Cloud Computing.

Mechanical Engineer Intern (onsite only, hiring immediately)

Position Requirements:

Must have experience with prototyping tools: CNC mills and 3D printers

Familiar with hardware design tools: SolidWorks

Solid understanding of mechanical fundamentals: dynamics, kinematics, and vibration

Professional hardware prototyping experience (Design and optimization based on calculations)

Not required, but preferred:

Robotics experience

Experience with ROS and MoveIt
