Senior Accountant - Manufacturing

LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a well-established manufacturing company in the western suburbs that is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant on a direct hire basis to grow within the accounting department. The company is 100% onsite and the person taking on these duties would be responsible for the following duties:

Job Description:

Complete monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations and prepare monthly & quarterly journal entries.

Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees

Assist with inventory accounting and take on some variance analysis associated with cost accounting

Supervise Accounting Clerk

Ensure accounts payable get processed on a weekly basis

Reconcile and post cash

Assist with special projects on an as needed basis

Qualifications:

Bachelor's in accounting or finance is required

4+ years of month end close experience is required

CPA or MBA is a plus or working towards a CPA is desired

Prior experience handling month end close at a manufacturing company is desired

Prior supervisory experience is a plus

Intermediate excel skills are required

Excellent attention to detail and communication skills are a must
