Position Description:

The School of Nursing invites applications for Part-Time lecturer (PTL) teaching positions in the following program areas:

BSN Program

RN-BSN

MEPN Program (BSN and MSN degrees conferred)

DNP Program

Minimum Education and Experience

Must have a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) to apply for didactic or clinical teaching in BSN program.

Must have a minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and specialty expertise to apply for clinical or didactic teaching in the MEPN Program.

Must have a terminal degree to apply for didactic teaching in Doctorate of Nursing Practice Program.

Prior teaching experience is preferred.

Curriculum Vitae required.

Applicants will be considered as openings become available for teaching in each semester.

Instructors are expected to attend orientation/trainings, submit course syllabus, order textbooks or other reading materials, provide developmentally meaningful feedback, present engaging and diverse learning experiences, respond to students in a timely manner, communicate regularly with designated course chair, maintain collegial and respectful relations with members of the UofL community and external stakeholders, submit course data and final grades within university deadlines, and comply with other requests as a part-time lecturer.
