IT Generalist

Job Description

FrontLine Cyber Solutions is looking for a Senior IT Specialist that will work both in-house or be assigned to project teams to work with outside clients. As part of a FrontLine’s IT team, IT Specialist work closely with CSOC Analysts, Network Architects and IT Managers. Candidates will do the following:

Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.

Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security

Setting up VPN

O365 Admin Experience

Active Directory Admin Experience

Arranging scheduled upgrades

Investigating faults in the network

Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases

Configure and manage hardware, facilitated IP voice administrations, and firewalls

Perform account setup for new and old employees

Available on-call to assist with trouble tickets as needed

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Desired qualities:

Knowledge of design, configuration, installation, testing, and maintenance of local and wide area computer wired and wireless networks

Knowledge of computer network characteristics, network operating system software, and network components

Troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose/resolve network system problems.

Ability to interpret and apply complex technical manuals and reference materials.

Ability to assist with developing network security and related procedures; and assist with performing network management activities.

A good grasp of communication protocols (Mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols

Strong familiarity with control models and system security

An ability to learn new technologies quickly

Ability to travel

An ability to follow processes

Strong documentation skills

Good communication skills – both written and verbal
