Our Mission: Enable individual persons who have serious mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorder and/or a dual diagnoses of SMI and IDD live a life that is meaningful to her or him in the community on terms she/he defines.
Title: Traditional Masters Level Intern
Supervisor: TN Regional Director
Summary of Job Duties:
The Social Work Intern works with the Program Manager and Traditional Team members to learn the concepts of connection to community services and connection to services and benefits.
Specific Responsibilities:
Must work a designated number of hours each week required by the University
Maintain all requirements from the University for the field placement
Participate in Project Transition trainings and events
Learn and participate in developing community linkages
Learn and participate in providing connection to benefits (i.e. SSI/SSDI, SNAP Benefits, etc)
Participate in and learn to facilitate the coordination of groups with various topics
Participate in treatment team meetings with members and staff.
Learn to develop and participate in APPLE planning.
Complete trainings as aligned with regulatory compliance
Other duties as comfort and clinical capabilities develop
Qualifications
Working toward and actively enrolled in a Bachelors level Social Work Program
Recommended: Experience working with families and individuals
