What You'll Do:
The Adjutant General's Department is looking for an experienced Data Analytics Specialist (Energy Data Analytics Specialist) professional. Successful candidates will have knowledge and safety practices pertaining to energy data analytics.
Under direction of the Energy and Environmental Chief assist the Energy Office and Energy Specialist with collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting energy and water related data to ensure energy and water program objectives, targets, and goals with the Adjutant General Department facilities, installations, and training sites with state (internal/external) and federal agency stakeholders
Knowledge of and basic experience with utility billing, energy and water programs, data management, and reporting techniques
Attention to detail, ability to communicate, multi-task, ability to meet deadlines, and being able to work within several data collection/reporting platforms simultaneously
Collaborates with business subject matter experts, IT staff, & agency leaders to define priorities, resources, & risks
Identifies relevant performance metrics
Extracts data from multiple sources & systems
Identifies & catalogs appropriate data sources
Coordinates with business subject matter experts & IT staff to ensure validity & completeness of data models & transformations
Applies statistical analysis & visualization techniques to identify data trends & relationships
Utilizes analytic techniques (e.g. regression, correlation, cluster analysis, classification, data mining, machine learning, data visualization) to discover, confirm, & document associations, predictive models, & algorithms
Recommends business solutions & insights impacting agency goals & objectives
Applies analytical results to address practical business problems & opportunities in a format accessible to non-technical staff & stakeholders
Provides guidance to business leaders regarding interpretation & applicability of findings in a business context
Presents summary findings & recommendations to agency leaders
Operationalizes processes
Collaborates with IT staff to select deployment methods
Establishes measurement and reporting of performance metrics
Identifies and documents best practices; trains peers & business staff in use of analytic tools and techniques; remains current with relevant innovations and industry direction.
Assist in administering energy and water programs
Assists in developing and communicating new energy plans, policies, and procedures
Collect, organize, and prepare energy and Water data to assist briefing ADJ-OHARNG leadership as well as support the creation of quarterly and annual reports for the Department of the Army; maintain records, provides data documentation, and assists in creating reports
Manage, update, and align Energy Manager Software metrics with needs of Energy Office
Assist in entering, updating, and verifying utility data into energy management software
Assist in developing, conducting, and attending energy briefings, training and meetings
Assists in facility energy and water system evaluations and inspections

The following are the minimum qualifications for this position. For further consideration, applicants must clearly identify how qualifications are met within the education and/or experience sections of the applications. The ideal candidate, at minimum, must meet one of the following options.
Option 1
48 mos. exp. in data analytics or statistical analysis or research methods.
Option 2
Completion of associate core program in data analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field; 30 mos. exp. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods.
Option 3
Completion of undergraduate core program in data analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field; 24 mos. exp. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods.
Option 4
Completion of graduate core program in data analytics, applied mathematics, statistics, industrial/systems engineering, or related field; 12 mos. exp. in data analytics, statistical analysis, or research methods.
Option 5
36 mos. exp as a Data Analytics Associate, 66930.
Option 6
Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
