Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Greenville, SC
Industry: light industrial manufacturing
Status of Hire: direct placement; permanent
Pay: $28/hr + annual bonus
Hours: 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) + OT availability

Summary: Involved in all areas of plant maintenance including building and equipment. Other areas might include wiring, fabrication, assembly and testing of developmental machines, and is able to perform task with minimal supervision.
Job Duties:
Electrical knowledge; Basic PLC knowledge
Knowledge of injection molding machines, automation machines, and automatic take offs
Read blueprints and interpret requirements for mechanical function
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, refrigeration, water systems and electrical equipment; Troubleshoot and repair all facility and production equipment
Identify problems and offer solutions and modifications to existing systems
Work on safety, housekeeping and machine cleaning
Technician must have the ability to wire basic electrical circuits
Perform machine PM’s (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical) and rebuilds
Read and understand machine schematics
Train other technicians
Lead projects as assigned
Work with other technicians as needed
Identify parts on schematics, retrieve cost/quotes from vendors and write requisitions for parts
Assist in maintaining facility equipment to including: air compressors, air dryers, chillers, and cooling towers
Knowledge of robotic and runner pickers
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Technical Degree in a Maintenance Related field IMT or IET preferred with 3 years’ experience or 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Technician
Self- Motivated individual that works well with other technical trades.
Technician must possess good communication skills and wear PPE as required.
Technician must have knowledge of safe work practices.
Technician must have a working knowledge of operating milling machines, lathe machine, torches, cutting tools, and other maintenance support tools.
Fabrication and welding knowledge
Technician must be able to handle multiple tasks and working under pressure.
HVAC Experience a plus. Not required.
Basic computer skills

**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical to be eligible for hire (physical will include respirator fitting)
