Project Manager IV - DAF

We are searching for a Project Manager IV to join our team in the North Las Vegas, NV area. This position is full-time, with a 4/10's schedule, Monday-Thursday 10 hour work days.

Compensation: $90,000-$130,000 with a great benefits package!

Scope of Work

This position shall provide project management and programming support to the DAF asset management program under the Enterprise Infrastructure Programs (EIP) Directorate for infrastructure. Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of professional tasks which are broad in nature and are concerned with project planning, requirement development, strategic planning, program/project integration, and meeting coordination.

Development of conceptual project planning deliverables. Closely integrate with the program and project managers and project execution organizations to ensure deliverables are delivered on time. Support finalization of project deliverables for planned projects and coordinate the transition to project execution and detailed design. Integrate with EIP Program Managers and other Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) organizations such as Engineering, Construction, Information Technology, Procurement, Estimating, and other support departments to identify, prioritize, and de-conflict ongoing and proposed projects across the site.

This position shall support tasks including stakeholder coordination, meeting logistics and minutes, scheduling and performing site walk downs, presenting for Phase Gate reviews, conducting interviews, creating presentations and other duties as assigned. Integrate activities across multiple planning teams. Verify priorities and project identification established by Integrated Systems Planning asset plans for longer-term construction projects. Assist in maintaining the Accelerated Construction Project Planning database with status and schedule information for project reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or related field with 8 years experience or equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered. (Nuclear Operations experience preferred).

Previous project management experience and responsibilities should include:

Managing small projects (<$10 M TPC) and project teams (<10 people) through representative project lifecycle phases.

Defining, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling and successfully completing discrete elements of scope in compliance with defined schedule, costs, risk, and quality constraints

Managing communications between project stakeholders and team members

Actively participating and leading stakeholder and federal sponsor meetings

Identifying and complying with project requirements in development of products and deliverables

Managing the project team in successfully achieving project scope, schedule, and cost objectives.

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Evaluates alternatives and identifies solutions using systematic, multi-step approaches. Develops innovative solutions that improve project performance.

Demonstrates effective decision-making skills, including knowledge of how and when to escalate issues to higher levels. Analyzes the risks and future impact of decisions. Uses cost- benefit analysis in decision-making.Evaluate processes, procedures, and work instructions to improve performance.

Applying academic knowledge to the work environment and developing good work/team habits.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook are required.
