Installer/Wireless Field Technician

Job Description

Position: Wireless Field Technician

LIT Internet is looking for a talented wireless technician to join our team. The wireless technician will conduct on-site installations and repairs as part of a team or individually. Network technicians interface with clients, install equipment on rooftops and run communications wiring. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction -like trades, computer networking, or similar field, be willing and able to perform physical labor and work efficiently and independently.

Duties/Essential Functions •

Install wireless networking equipment on building rooftops

Install communications wiring

Troubleshoot and repair wireless network installations

Drive company vehicles

Climb ladders

Carry installation materials (i.e.concrete blocks, aluminum masts to installation sites)

Write up detailed reports outlining building/installation details and client requests

Available for occasional on-call rapid response repair work evenings and/or weekends

Skill and Knowledge Qualifications:

Proper professional etiquette. Including the ability to speak and write clearly, accurately, and professionally

Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

Demonstrated proficiency in typing and grammar

Experience with construction techniques preferred

Basic computer skills, Linux networking skills preferred

Physical Job Requirements:

Ability to lift 50lbs

Ability to climb ladders and conduct construction site safety

Must be able to drive and be insurable
