Nationwide multi-office law firm is seeking a Litigation Administrative Assistant to join their team.

Work with a wonderful team on substantiative and interesting cases.

Responsibilities:

As a Litigation Administrative Assistant, you will play an active role assisting in the management of each attorney’s caseload by maintaining attorney calendars, docketing all case-related deadlines, coordinating conference calls, and processing monthly expense reports. This position requires a proactive team player with the ability to work comfortably under pressure of tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities will include transcribing, revising, and finalizing correspondence, discovery documents, pleadings, motions, and other materials as delegated. Additionally, this position requires ensuring documents are properly filed with appropriate courts, including submission of paper and electronic filings, scheduling depositions and other client meetings, and communicating with clients as necessary. Responsibilities also include running conflict checks, opening new client/matter engagements, setting-up billing requirements for clients and entering attorney time in time entry system.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is one who is detail-oriented, exercises sound judgment, exhibits reliability, accountability, confidentiality, and has exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen interest in providing purposeful support to lawyers and paralegals as part of a wider team. You need to have 5+ years of recent State and Federal litigation experience along with 2 years of appellate experience within a law firm. This position will require exceptional written and verbal communication skills with employees, clients, and attorneys. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment by organizing and prioritizing multiple time sensitive tasks daily will be a crucial requirement of this role. Top candidates will be familiar with key legal principles and possess incredible accuracy, strong IT capabilities, and excellent time management skills. The ideal candidate will also have experience with document management systems, billing software, time entry programs, interpersonal skills, and professional judgment to interface with attorneys, clients, and experts.
