As Auditor II Product Certification – New York/ New Jersey, you will be responsible for providing audit services to Certification programs and other NSF clients.
Responsibilities:
Conduct monitoring and initial audits
Manage enforcement issues stemming from certification audits
Provide a timely report of corrective actions
Conduct special visits to investigate product failures and verify the implementation of corrective actions taken by NSF clients - Investigate and resolve complaints
Develop cost effective work plans for the completion of assigned audits
Establish and maintain effective communication with program representatives and project managers as it relates to assigned clients
Monitor and report client needs, service delivery issues, and competitive threats to management team
Develop business by responding to inquiries, conducting introductory visits, conducting seminars, and attending conferences in support of NSF’s business units (as authorized)
Support NSF’s business units by assisting clients in the identification of additional NSF services that may be beneficial (examples – new products for certification, test only services, quality system registration)
Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in environment health, related science or business degree
Two (2) years related industry auditing experience
Ability to work independently from remote (home based) location
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Willingness and ability to travel extensively
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to obtain a profession registration (environmental health, engineering, or related profession)
Must have a valid driver license and reliable transportation
2000 hours of experience and/or training related to organic or food handling
At least one or all of the following certifications: IOIA Processing, Livestock and/or Crop certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in environmental health, related science or business
Experience auditing or with quality control
A minimum of two (2) years experience working in the public or private sector in industry
Work experience as a chemist, microbiologist, or related quality function
Prior experience working with dietary supplements along with cosmetics or OTC drugs
Lead Auditor Certification, HAACP or PCQI Certification
Professional registration
Foreign language skills (Spanish, French, other languages)
Salary Range: $49,000 - $83,000 USD
The total pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At NSF, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
