Estimator

Morgan Corp. is currently searching for an Estimator for our Savannah, GA division.

The primary responsibilities of this position is to perform all pre-bid services by development and preparation of cost estimates for construction projects or services as assigned.

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for acquiring profitable work

Coordinate bid schedules and assign bid responsibilities for the department

Review all estimates

Monitor bid listings/notifications

Familiar with estimating and take-off software B2W and Agtek a plus

Update B2W database

Interact with Business Development

Attend pre-bid meetings

Prepare bid proposals

Estimate projects

Coordinate with operations for successful project turnovers

Support field change orders as needed

Coordinate subcontract and vendor proposal solicitation

Some travel, including overnight required (<15%)

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field

at least 5 years of related experience in estimating and/or project management

Heavy civil experience preferred

Earthwork background preferred
