This is a full-time permanent position. There is a relocation packaged offer to relocate to Erlanger, KY if you are not in the area.
Must-haves:
1-3+ years of experience as an engineer within aviation
Coming from an Airline, a Manufacturer, or an MRO
Strong understanding of aircraft engine systems and components
Turbofan, turbine engine operation, dynamics, performance, and build.
Knowledge of failure analysis or root cause engineering to troubleshoot
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace or a similar applicable degree
Extremely flexible schedule – willing to be on call 24/7
Plusses:
A&P Certification
Experience working on CFM56 Engines
Experience working on GE90 Engines
Day-to-Day:
A large airline client is looking for 3 Powerplant Engineers to sit 5 days a week onsite in Erlanger, KY. These engineers will be joining the Technical Operations team, reporting into the Manager of Powerplant Engineering. These engineers will work on both CFM56 engines and GE90 engines and provide technical support for the maintenance teams to effectively fix any issues revolving around engines. The team utilizes service bulletins to address issues that arise. 50% of their day will be responding to service bulletins after troubleshooting the issues with engines via root cause analysis. It is their responsibility to then communicate correct fixes to maintenance or AOG (aircraft on ground) teams. 20% of the engineer’s day will be spent monitoring fleet performance and initiating necessary actions to maintain fleet health. 30% of their day will be spent going on meetings with manufacturers, maintenance representatives, repair & overhaul (MRO) facilities; outside engineering departments, regulatory personnel and other outside agencies.
