The main function of a Compliance Program Manager (PM) for Accessories is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, and product roll-out or any other non-IT based project. This role will function as part of a team embedded in the product development of Reality Labs accessories, gathering and communications requirements while tracking important program milestones. Compliance PM is expected to have a good understanding of consumer electronics, analytical testing, demonstrated experience in program management and has worked in a collaborative cross functional, fast-paced environment.

Education/Experience Required:

•Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field

•Experience working in the consumer electronics industry

•Compliance Program Manager to support Accessories Programs and cross functional teams with related projects

Skills:

•Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills

•Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time

•Ability to prioritize programs and issues to meet timelines within a fast paced environment

•Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback

•Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of consumer electronics products

•Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods

•Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Google Suite

Must-have HARD skills:

•Product development experience in consumer electronics (consumer product experience)

•Have technical knowledge/experience

•Compliance experience

•EMC (electromagnetic compatibility)

Good to have skills:

•Good communication skills will be required in cross-functional meetings. At times will be representative to other meetings.

•Engineering compliance background will be a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

•Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

•Clear and effective communication of HW Compliance goals and findings with cross functional team and leadership.

•Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients.

•Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.

•Confer with management, production and cross-functional teams to discuss project specifications and procedures.

•Review and recommend or approve compliance plans.

•Direct, review and approve product designs and changes that impact compliance.

•Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.

Typical Day in the Role:

•Many accessories in development in AR/VR, will be expected to attend meetings work on schedules (certification schedules, monitor timelines of products to prepare for launches), oversee desk labs, will monitor processes and efficiencies of program.

•May work on products other than accessories, may also work on cross compatibility of products. will work with a team of about 8 people and will focus on internal team of 50 people.

•Will be reporting directly to CWAM and will have weekly one on one with manager, weekly report, internal sync meeting.

How will performance be measured:

•Maintaining deliverables and overall updates
