Reporting to the Chief of Staff and Programming, the Communications Coordinator’s responsibilities include but are not limited to implementing marketing and public relations campaigns, handling rights and reproductions requests, overseeing content on the gallery’s website and social media channels, and liaising with press and external consultants.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement marketing and public relations campaigns for announcements, exhibitions, art fairs, and artists' projects
Upload content for gallery social media channels
Design and schedule marketing e-blasts
Format and distribute press releases and images in collaboration with Research team and external public relations consultants
Maintain gallery website, updating content, press, and e-commerce inventory as needed
Coordinate gallery programming and special events
Manage external media requests, including high-res image requests and interview opportunities for gallery principles
Liaise with staff, gallery principles, artist studios, consultants, and external organizations for approvals on all communications collateral
Liaise with artists/artist studios/estates and staff on media inquiries for third-party exhibitions and projects
Serve as primary point of contact for all rights and reproduction requests
Build and maintain press kits and press links for PR and journalists, ensuring all captions, copyrights, and credit lines are included
Monitor all mentions of the gallery and its artists for weekly press updates
Manage all gallery publication subscriptions
Develop and maintain press mailing list
Serve as liaison for venue rentals

EXPERIENCE:
Proficient with Microsoft Office, iOS, Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and Photoshop;
Experience with Asana and social scheduling tools a plus
Experience managing marketing channels including social media, email marketing, and websites
Familiarity with marketing metrics and data analysis tools
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across a global team.
BA in Marketing or Communications preferred
POSITION TYPE:
Full-Time/Regular/Non-Exempt/Salaried position with overtime. Monday to Friday, onsite, with additional hours as needed.
