Join a prominent global insurance defense law firm in their search for an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant! This is your opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team either remotely or in the bustling offices of Menlo Park or Los Angeles.
The firm boasts an international presence and across the United States. As part of their growing litigation practice, they seek a Litigation Legal Assistant with a minimum of four years of experience to join their Menlo Park, California team and work remote or hybrid.
What you will be doing:
Handling calendaring and filing for State and Federal courts
Managing attorney schedules
Dive into tasks ranging from construction litigation to personal injury cases
Handling trial prep, heavy phones, busy workload
Work with 3-4 partners and associates
Preparing pleadings, discovery requests and responses, summaries, indices for medical records, motions, subpoenas, and trial-related documents, and analyzing medical billing records
What you bring to the table:
Four years of civil litigation experience in California and Federal courts
Familiarity with construction litigation, premises liability, and real estate (preferred)
Paralegal certificate is advantageous

Assist with calendaring and filing documents with State and Federal courts
Preparing pleadings, discovery requests and responses, summaries, indices for medical records, motions, subpoenas, and trial-related documents, and analyzing medical billing records
What you bring to the table:
Minimum of five years of experience in civil litigation practice in State of California and Federal courts
Experience with construction litigation, premises liability, real estate, and/or personal injury cases is strongly preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems (NetDocuments is a plus)
Experience with timekeeping and billable tasks
Paralegal certificate is a plus
