Cost Analyst

Baytown, TX (locals)

Long Term Contract

Responsibilities include:

Develop project cost forecasts for a portfolio of projects based on project schedule and project progress data.

Support in developing and maintaining the project status reports and performance metrics.

Coordinate and work with the project engineers, construction managers, and project managers to resolve project cost-related issues on their projects.

Participate and assist in the project change management and trend process.

Interfaces with accounting, and other Departments to ensure timely processing of project costs in SAP.

Support project controls lead with the implementation of best practice project control processes and procedures.

Support with project administration - project creation, purchase order creation, and closures in SAP.

Qualifications:

(Associate degree, or BSc Degree,) preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.

5 - 10+ years of direct experience in engineering, procurement, and construction leading the cost control function for a major project.

Demonstrate ability to understand a demanding, technical, and complicated project execution program; and the ability to communicate issues to a technical and management-level audience.

Proficient in project budgeting and forecasting processes and procedures.

Proficient in earned value management system (EVMS), including cost performance index (CPI), schedule performance index (SPI) cost variance (CV), and schedule variance (SV) analysis calculations.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following processes and procedures.

Proficient in SAP Project System module, and Plant Maintenance Module a plus.

Proficient in Power BI a plus.

Pipeline experience a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

Cost Consultant (CCC)/Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) is desirable but not required.

PMI or AACEI member is desirable but not required.
