Role Description:
The Trade Finance Business Development Analyst will be an integral member of Evolution Credit Partners and will be responsible for supporting the Trade Finance investment strategy. This person will be responsible for working directly with our dedicated Trade Finance team to identify Trade Finance counterparties and investments through dedicated work on business development, business operations, marketing, and other strategic activities to support the entrepreneurial nature of the Firm and its growing alternative credit platform.
Evolution Credit Partners is seeking an experienced Trade Finance Business Development Analyst that has worked in a business development role within financial services, insurance, factoring or related fields, has a strong desire to work across the Firm in an entrepreneurial manner, possesses a deep interest in Trade Finance and/or alternative credit markets, is able to communicate effectively in oral and written form, and will be able to contribute immediately to expanding the team's analytical, operational marketing, and business development capabilities.
The role will entail the following:
Partner with senior members of the Firm to implement and execute Trade Finance and broader credit initiatives of strategic relevance with a focus on Trade Credit Protection
Manage and develop further the digital marketing strategy of the Firm
Lead specific aspects of the business development process including industry/market research and relationship building across key strategies for the Firm
Work to broadly source new investment opportunities in an entrepreneurial environment
Collaborate with key stakeholders of the Firm to develop a pipeline of companies and other counterparties that meets the Firm’s investment targets. This includes the identification and development of new target lists, key companies and decision makers
Execute and track all initiatives, including weekly reporting to senior management
Manage and execute onboarding and execution process of Trade Credit Protection clients
Complete other ad hoc analysis, presentations, and communications as needed
Adhere to investment and operational standards of Evolution Credit Partners
Skills, Experience and Education:
2+ years of experience in investment banking, private credit, insurance, factoring, consulting, and/or other relevant fields with exposure to investment business development / origination
Proven experience in mining/collating large data sets
Prior work with marketing outreach tools and various data banks
Creative thinker
Excellent communication skills demonstrated through prior relevant experience
Interest in understanding the broader financial and specifically credit markets with a focus on Trade Finance
Demonstrated initiative with high level of motivation
Enthusiastic team player and flexible in approach with ability to work independently
Strong interpersonal skills for interactions with investment targets, business owners, strategic partners, and other key third parties
Open-mindedness with an ability to dynamically adapt to new assignments or areas of focus
