Duties: Work within LMU’s Department of Information Technology Services (ITS), developing process automation solutions to reduce execution costs and increase the University’s productivity, workflow automation and process intelligence (e.g., RPAs). ‘Own’ each step of the software solution design process, from requirement gathering to implementation. Analyze existing processes in order to identify potential bottlenecks and determine the best opportunities for automation. Plan the architecture and flow of automated process solutions. Utilize working knowledge of software programming tools, such as SCRUM, Agile Methodologies, Change Management and Project Management to design, develop, and implement automaton software solutions to streamline the University’s workflow. Conduct quality assurance testing and, finally, integrate process automation solutions to LMU’s existing workflows and processes. Map, analyze and understand the business processes and share that understanding with members of the Systems Application Architecture team. Identify and communicate software requirements. Create process requirements (i.e., SCRUM stories) and process models, high and low-level design documents, test plans, and test cases. Create and develop well-designed and efficient process automation solutions, in accordance with standard design principles and conventions. Configure new process automation solutions using core workflow principles. Create business rules using SQL queries to define webservice specifications. Performing comprehensive tests on application programming interfaces, web services, and data sources.

Requirements: Master’s degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus two (2) years of Programming, Process Automation Development or related experience: designing and implementing automated workflow processes, utilizing workflow automation tools (i.e., TAP, Pega (PRPC), API, and ServiceNow) and Agile development methodologies; utilizing robotic process automation (“RPA”) tools, such as Pega, Openspan, and UI Path, to deploy automated processes into production, monitor performance, and evaluate efficacy; coding, testing, and debugging new workflow builds; creating and documenting test procedures and scenarios for the pre-User Acceptance Testing (‘UAT’) phases; leveraging Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”) technology (i.e., Oracle Service Cloud and ServiceNow) to develop custom applications tailored to enhance user experience; developing and optimizing relational databases utilizing Oracle Enterprise Edition, SQL*Plus, and AWS RDS; and utilizing data profiling and processing modeling tools (i.e., Tableau Prep, Signavio, and ETLs). Telecommuting permissible 3 days a week.
