TRANSPORT MANAGER

The Transport Manager oversees all aspects of the company's Logistics division, including leased fleets, ensuring compliance with quality standards, pricing, and regulatory requirements. They are responsible for vehicle and driver management, ensuring compliance with Road Traffic regulations and minimizing downtime through routine maintenance coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

National Diploma or degree in Logistics or Supply chain

Minimum 4 years experience in management experience in logistics industry

Must have sound experience managing a fleet

Requires comprehension of truck mechanics to anticipate potential issues

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage regional fleet operations, including fleet optimization, capacity planning, and insurance management.

Monitor systems and drivers, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance. Lead continuous process improvement initiatives and develop key performance indicators (KPIs). Coordinate breakdown and accident response efforts.

Manage vehicle and driver operations, equipment maintenance, and health and safety controls. Provide leadership, mentoring, and team management. Implement cost control measures.
