Accuracy of financial reporting with deadlines

Effective coaching and feedback to ensure financial literacy across the Department Teams

Process Related:

Set up and maintenance of the Hotel Accounting System

Adherence to financial controls across the Team

Completeness of policies, processes, and standards governing financial activities

Timely submission of statutory returns

Effective management of the Hotel Asset Register

Finance Related:

Timeliness and completeness of annual budget submission and adherence

Debtors Days

Stock Days

Interest on Cash on Call

Capex expenditure management to budget

EBITDA (KPI shared with Hotel Manager)Roles and Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities:

Utilize software applications and tools for accurate accounting of financial transactions.

Control payroll function in alignment with the budget.

Provide financial counsel to senior management.

Customer Specific Responsibilities:

Ensure world-class accounting service delivery.

Maintain finance policies and standards.

Compile and provide financial reports to stakeholders.

People Specific Responsibilities:

Support employee selection and financial planning.

Implement practices for financial literacy development.

Conduct feedback and performance appraisals.

Quality Specific Responsibilities:

Ensure completeness of financial policies and standards.

Promote compliance and improvement of financial control.

Finance Specific Responsibilities:

Prepare and propose annual budgets.

Monitor equipment usage and stock consumption.

Coordinate financial requirements with relevant stakeholders.

Facilities:

Assist in compiling CAPEX requests and budgets.

Legal and Compliance Specific Responsibilities:

Ensure confidentiality and financial control measures.
