Objectives:

Material Associate I is responsible for being trained and proficient to work in 1+ of the following areas: Packs, Equipment, Finished Goods Stockroom, Finished Goods Equipment Packaging, Shipping & Receiving, Offsite Warehouse, and/or Returns.

Responsibilities:

Perform applicable system work

Perform domestic and international shipping

Perform receiving and put away functions

Perform finished goods packaging

Perform cycle counts

Become fork lift certified

Sort, fill, assemble, audit and shipin accordance with Standard Operating Procedures

Provide assistance at offsite warehouse as needed

Treat others with respect, demonstrate a can do approach and be willing to work in the assigned area

Remain open to change and support and assist with projects

Provide individual data to lead or designee to support area activity reports

Assist in annual physical inventory

Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area

Assist in maintaining the building security

Comply with OSHA and MSDS standads

Train workers as assigned

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Previous manufacturing experience or surgical equipment manufacturing experience preferred

Ability to lift 50 lbs

Basic computer skills

Ability to work independently

Self starter

Perform problem solving

Good oral and written communication skills

Ability to work well with others and exercise good judgment

Dependable and reliable

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, specifications, and schedule

Preferred qualifications: hazmat certification 49 CFR / IATA, industrial equipment operation qualifications

Working knowledge of existing computer programs, for example PeopleSoft, LX, WebShip, Documentum, ComplianceWire, Excel, Word, etc.
