Valero is looking for a Mechanical Integrity Excellence Manager to join the Mechanical Integrity team at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. The Mechanical Integrity Excellence Manager supports organizational goals to achieve mechanical integrity excellence and develops innovative approaches to attain organizational objectives and optimize resource utilization. This role works mainly independently and has broad discretion to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and policies. The Mechanical Integrity Excellence Manager provides guidance and support to Valero sites to address diverse complex issues which often cross multiple project/programs or functional/technical areas.

The Mechanical Integrity Excellence Manager daily activities may include:

Works with the sites and technology experts to establish and disseminate the best technical practices for mechanical integrity and fixed equipment reliability.

Supports network committees to achieve fixed equipment goals and priorities.

Drives continuous improvement in fixed equipment reliability across the organization.

Assists refineries in developing and implementing inspection programs to improve reliability.

Updates monthly KPI spreadsheets and send to network.

Audits refinery KPIs for completeness, accuracy and trends.

Champions MAIN policies and Valero PCMS policies & best practices. Provides circuit-wide oversight and support for use.

Participates in and/or leads MAIN assessments.

Assists in solving plant fixed equipment/mechanical integrity issues.

Provides leadership within the Materials and Inspection Network (MAIN)

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.

10 years of technical experience in fixed equipment and mechanical integrity required.

Extensive working knowledge of PCMS software required.

Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

Must be able to travel with short notice, travel may be required up to 35% of the time.
