Telecomm VOIP Technician
Pay Rate: $22.00/HR W2
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Location: 43 New Scotland Ave, Albany, NY 12208

Description:
As a Telecomm VOIP Technician, you will join an existing team and work with Cisco Call Manager, Avaya and NEC-centric hardware and peripherals at client locations. Provide consultation, design, installation, support, configuration/programming, MAC, update/upgrade, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of voice and fax network and system components, peripherals, and software. Provide peripheral support of ancillary telephony systems, including but not limited to Call Accounting, Call Recording, ACD. VoIP conversion, discovery, implementation, and testing.
Work with Telephony components and architecture
Identify and terminate phone lines
Install and test phone equipment
Identify and troubleshoot voice and fax related issues
Work with end users to provide excellent customer service/teamwork skill
Skills:
Familiarity with Cisco Call Manager or Cisco CCNA training
Understanding of Network components and architecture
Familiarity with programming and operation of call accounting systems
Understanding of troubleshooting voice issues, and escalate as necessary.
Understanding of VoIP and network concepts
Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate a vehicle.
Candidate must provide basic hand/telecommunications tools (7/16 nut driver or socket set, telecom snips, pliers, screwdrivers, etc.)
