Early Childhood TEACHER NEEDED: Looking for Early Childhood Education teachers or related field for immediate hire in a NYCDOE PKA classroom who possess the following qualities:

Able to perform at a minimum the following job responsibilities:

1) Planning and preparing developmentally appropriate lessons for preschool aged children and implementing those lessons to large and small groups of children.

2) Being Familiar with the Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold in order to plan activities that will aid children in meeting individual goals.

3) Able to demonstrate a lesson and classroom management skills as part of the initial interview.

4) Planning and maintaining a safe, clean, learning environment and in assuring the well-being and safety of the children in his/her care.

5) Exhibiting a genuine nurturing, caring attitude to all children.

6) Maintaining a positive, calm attitude and a soft voice, and encouraging this attitude and voice in others working in the classroom.

7) Maintaining a cooperative attitude of working together with assistants, volunteers, and parents, in planning and implementing activities and other concerns involving the children.

Minimum requirements prior to hire:

1)Minimum of 1 year experience in the early childhood education or related field is a plus

2)Must complete Department of Investigation Fingerprinting, Dept. of Education Fingerprints, State Central Register Clearance, and Completion of a Medical Form by a Licensed Physician

3)Provide 3 written reference letters

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Preschool Teacher role located in Staten Island, NY at 4 Angels Day Care Inc. The Preschool Teacher will create and implement lesson plans and daily activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development. The Preschool Teacher will also observe and evaluate children's performance and behavior to monitor their progress, and communicate with parents or guardians about their child's growth and development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, or a related field

Certification in Early Childhood Education

Demonstrated experience teaching young children in a classroom setting

Comprehensive knowledge of child developmental milestones, behavior management strategies, and curriculum requirements

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances

Must pass a background check and fingerprinting
