Head of Grid and Transmission

OW is a 50/50 joint venture of EDP Renewables and ENGIE and a global leader in fixed-bottom and floating offshore wind. We are currently looking for a Head of Grid and Transmission with the following:

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Significant experience in transmission policy and electricity market operation is required, including interconnection process in ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM and/or CAISO.

Excellent understanding of all phases of an interconnection process for ISOs/RTOs/TOs is required.

Required experience from transmission development and policy around this across US.

Ability to assess project needs and grid connection requirements/conditions to negotiate the technical and commercial aspects of the interconnection agreement with the ISO/RTO.

Experience of engaging with regulatory bodies and industry trade bodies through participation in working groups (or similar) is desirable.

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of electrical system design/study/analysis processes and techniques is essential.

Specific knowledge of the standards associated with electrical system design and grid connection of renewable energy generators in the US is required.

Knowledge of the standards and regulations related to any tests of renewable energy generators to connect to the grid.
