Freelance Senior Handbag Designer

We are looking for a Freelance Senior Handbag Designer for a top fashion company in New York, New York. This position will be located on site in the New York office.

Responsibilities:

Research and evaluate seasonal design trends.

Generate tech packs for all handbag design and development.

Create illustrations and technical drawings for new concepts, hardware and CADs.

Correspond with factories daily during product development phase and sample follow up.

Ensure all spec packages are completed accurately and on time.

Update and revise existing technical specs with design changes; finalize technical specs in prep for production.

Required Qualifications:

5-7+ years of handbag design experience.

Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Able to CAD and generate technical handbag specifications.

Must be able to work onsite.
