Position Details:

Title: Data Center Planning Analyst

Location: Zebulon, NC 27597 / Wilson, NC, 27893 (5 Days Onsite)

Duration: 18 Months - Contract To Hire

Req:

• Will be a part of an existing team of Planners.

• Planning of the whole Data Center - Where the port will be, where the rack will be etc.

• Experience with data center infrastructure management tools specifically Nlyte.

• Planning Experience

• Experience using the Tool

• Project Management Experience

• Plan any install that go into datacenter; they will work w planners that we already have it on staff.

• Where device goes; what infra connectivity looks like, network port assignment, storage port assignment.

• They will be dealing with more day to day responsibilities.

• Planning, Project Management.

• DCIM experience w atleast some kind of tool. Preference Nlyte.

Requirements:

• Experience with MS Office Products.

• Understanding about Cabling & Data Center.

• Planning of Data Center - Layouts, Cabling Aspects.

• 500 Devices - Help planning the Data Center.

• Organizational Skills

• Communication with various teams to make sure what we need and do the follow up.

• Enterprise Data Center Environment.

• Experience with Nlyte or similar tool is required.

• Planning Aspect of Data Center is key – Layouts, Racks, Cabling.

• 1-3 years.

• Can be Hybrid as well for 3 Days for the right candidate.

• Fast Paced Environment.

• Data Center Environment.

Role Responsibilities: (What they will be doing)

• Complete planning of complex device installations within the data center, considering standard business practices and established processes.

• Assist in planning of data center layouts, cabling infrastructure, and power distribution to support stability, flexibility, and resiliency within the data center environment.

• Demonstrate full understanding and knowledge of IT departmental responsibilities, change management, problem determination/resolution, and resource allocation.

• Provide support and oversight as required for the IT Data Center Security Policy.

• Provide collaboration with Data Center Services teammates and other technology teams in support of corporate objectives, project goals and initiatives.

• Demonstrate strong Project Management skills in order to support project activity coordination for the Data Center Services Team.

• Develop and maintain documentation for supported IT Enterprise Infrastructure to include updates and support of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM).

• Retain ongoing knowledge of facilities management and technology within the supported IT Enterprise Infrastructure.

Must Have Skills/Prior Experiences:

• Experience planning data center layouts, cabling infrastructure and / or power distribution stability, flexibility, and resiliency within the data center environment.

• Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint experience.

• Understanding of technology concepts.

Plus/Nice to Have Skills/Prior Experiences:

• Experience with data center infrastructure management tools specifically Nlyte.
