Position Summary:

Under the direction of the shift supervisor, this position is responsible for the uncoiling and other production activities on the coating line, assuring all production goals are met. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper techniques is essential.

Responsibilities of Position:

Operate the uncoiler

String the line properly

Use a saw and splice tube

Check and monitor acid levels

Check for quality problems

Change wiper blades

Break Galfan bars

Operate the crane to load new spools onto the uncoiler

Monitor the line and make appropriate adjustments.

Good problem solving techniques

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent

One year experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:

N/A

Physical Requirements:

Walking

Standing

Bending

Lifting up to 70 lbs

Pushing, pulling

Working with Chemicals

Have the ability to wear a respirator

Must wear hearing protection, safety glasses and steel toe shoes

Working Conditions:

Works within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
