Overview:

We are looking for associates and leaders that have a passion to serve others! The Operations Supervisor primary responsibility is for providing leadership and guidance to the front of house Food and Beverage/Banquet/Event team. The Operations Supervisor role will at times also assist in all areas of the hotel to include Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, Banquets, and Food & Beverage. S/he will work with the team to ensure guest satisfaction and optimum performance. This position is fully committed to ensuring that all procedures are performed to the department and company standards and serve as an ambassador for CoralTree and Hyatt.

The Operations Supervisor role maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction. Assists managers with leading and supervising the team. Ensures supplies are properly stocked; assists with ordering supplies as necessary. Assists with coordinating inventory control. Utilizes labor management tools to schedule and control labor costs. Assists managers with new hire and termination paperwork. Participates in staff meetings and agenda. Attends mandatory weekly and monthly department meetings and appropriate hotel and division meetings. Conduct pre-shift meetings at shift changeovers to effectively communicate relevant information to team members.

Reports any needed repair immediately to Engineering using correct procedures. Ensures proper bookkeeping and hotel policies are followed. Responsible for daily reports and manager log book entries. Supports team with staff duties as necessary. Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment. Assists the Managers with preparing and monitoring budget of expenditures and projected incomes.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and successfully execute departmental and hotel policies (including but not limited to relocation procedures, safe deposit box procedures, auditing accuracy of cards with proper signatures, key control procedures, accurate billing, cashiering, safety, lost/found policy, etc.).

Instills a calm, organized approach when interacting in stressful situations.

Approach internal and external guest opportunities with a sense of heartfelt care and urgency; provide prompt follow-up to ensure 100% guest satisfaction.

Ensure that sufficient staffing is present to meet the business demands.

Maintain confidentiality of guest information and follow proper protocol to secure and protect pertinent data.

Foster and maintain strong, positive relationships with team members across all departments through communication and regular face-to-face interaction.

Assist management to recruit, hire, train, and successfully support and manage the talent of all new and existing team members.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Minimum of one year of supervisory experience preferred.

Previous hospitality experience in a Four Diamond quality organization preferred.

Previous experience with Windows, Office, POS, and property management systems highly desirable .

Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in the basic English language.

Ability to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise, and professional manner in both verbal and written form.

Demonstrate ability to compute basic arithmetic. Must be available to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.

Qualifications:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to walk, and stand, 8+ hours per day.

The team member may be asked to use hands and arms to reach, carry, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Food Handler, ABC /RBS certification will need to be achieved within 90 days of hire.
