Accounts Payable Manager

Job Type: Hybrid (3 days in office)

Founded in 2000 with locations in Warrenton and Winchester, VA, ESI is a valued strategic partner with longstanding relationships among key general contractors throughout the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region.
ESI is experiencing significant growth and is looking to add Safety Professionals at all levels to our team.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable Management:
Review and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper authorization.
Process vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner.
Reconcile accounts payable ledger to vendor statements and the general ledger.
Address vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies related to payments.
Manage the processing of employee expense reports and reimbursements.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies (3 way match), procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and recommend solutions for improvement.
Participate in system upgrades or implementations related to accounting software and processes.
Provide training and support to staff on accounting procedures and systems.

Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of experience in an accounts payable manager role.
Experience in a job costing within the construction or manufacturing industry
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Acumatica, Foundations) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
