Custodian (Part-time, Temporary, Sports Arena)

Job Description

Salary: The hourly rate of pay is $10.50. This part-time support staff position is temporary, at-will, and nonexempt. This position is not benefit eligible due to the part-time and temporary statuses.

The hours for this position will vary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

Daily cleaning of buildings, including dusting, cleaning windows, floors, walls and furniture, as well as other customary custodial duties. Included within these duties is the use of customary custodial tools and equipment.

Assist other employees as needed.

The willingness to work evening and/or night hours as necessary.

Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.

Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.

Secondary –

Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Plant Facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Custodial experience preferred.

Must be a neat and clean individual. Portraying a positive image to students, staff and community members is essential.

The ability to work as needed, including evening, night, and weekend hours. The person in this position may need to substitute for sick and vacation leaves of other custodians.

The ability to cooperate with students and college personnel.

Physical requirements include the ability to safely push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, climb, (up to a height of 8’), walk, carry, and to regularly lift up to 50 pounds; possess eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to operate equipment, tools, etc., perform other physical activities as becomes necessary. – May work in adverse conditions with possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissue, and communicable disease.
