*This position is full-time and is mainly office based, yet on occasion may work outside the office and standard business hours in support of MVP initiatives and assigned projects, as required.Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive administrative support to the Chief Mission Delivery Officer (CMDO) and the MVP Team which contributes to the achievement of Girl Scouts of Central Maryland’s (GSCM) girl and adult membership goals.

Be responsible for completing administrative tasks related to membership recruitment, retention and program campaigns, and initiatives.

Provide administrative support to all components of the volunteer management system.

Work with the CMDO to support volunteer committee goals and efforts.

Assist in the documentation and revision of written departmental procedures; compile and maintain department records, resources, and data in adherence with internal document retention standards.

Create a culture of customer service excellence by treating each interaction as an opportunity to provide courteous, timely and quality service, and by exhibiting professional behavior becoming of the Girl Scout brand, Promise, and Law.

Utilize GSCM’s Customer Relationship Management System (i.e., Salesforce) to provide professional, quality customer service to members, volunteers, staff, and partners, as well as to document all interactions and communications.

Navigate and use various databases to assist the CMDO, MVP Team and customers, including data entry; Create, prepare, and deliver reports, as needed.

Perform administrative functions in the coordination and implementation of department events, meetings, programs, presentations, trainings, webinars, and activities.

Promote the Girl Scout Mission and Girl Scouts of Central Maryland’s priorities and vison.

Perform additional duties as assigned to assist in the fulfilment of the council’s mission and goals.

Serve as a key member of the Membership, Volunteerism, and Program (MVP) Leadership Team; assist with MVP and GSCM programs, events, and activities as business needs dictate and/or as assigned.

Skills, Education and/or Relevant Experience:

Associate degree or certificate from a college/university or technical school in the field of office administration, business, project management or event management; or minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and complete multiple assignments in a timely manner.

Strong critical thinking skills and aptitude for attention to detail.

Ability to quickly shift gears and solve problems and thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Decisiveness and good judgement to address pressing project matters when time is limited.

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills required.

Self-motivated with the ability to take on tasks without immediate direction.

Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Prior experience with customer relationship management databases highly preferred, but not required.

Prior experience with Girl Scout program is a plus.

Must be able to work a varied, flexible schedule, including frequent evenings and occasional weekends, and be willing to travel throughout the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland jurisdiction, on occasion.

Valid driver’s license and access to motor vehicle, necessary to carry out responsibilities, as needed.

Ability to lift 30 pounds without difficulty and to stand and sit for extended periods of time.

Must subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout Movement and become a registered member of Girl Scouts of the United States of America (GSUSA).
