Job Description

BILINGUAL (SPANISH & ENGLISH) DIGITAL LITERACY INSTRUCTOR, ADJUNCT

Position Description

About Byte Back

Byte Back has been closing the digital divide for over 26 years by providing under-resourced communities an equitable pathway into the digital economy. We do this through transformative digital literacy and digital skills training. Our training breaks barriers to technology access and ensures those who have been left out of the digital transformation of the economy can participate in daily life--improving home, health, education, and work.

The digital divide is one of the biggest barriers to economic mobility. While 92% of jobs now require digital skills (National Skills Coalition, Closing the Digital Skill Divide), 31% of workers have limited or no digital skills. This is a clear misalignment that leaves many workers on the outside of the jobs that are most likely to lead to economic mobility and economic improvements.

Byte Back focuses on communities who are most impacted by the digital divide. Our Scholars are often from historically marginalized communities, and are unemployed, underemployed, do not have college degrees, and many have school-aged children. Uniquely among digital skills training organizations, Byte Back works with learners of all ages, including veterans, seniors, and returning citizens. We have skilled thousands of under-resourced, disconnected and newly connected community members.
