Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Lead Product Designer to join our team. In this position, your exceptional taste and abilities will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and interfaces of our mods platform. In this role, you will be expected and trusted to drive the design vision of entire product features from inception to implementation and beyond.

You will be closely collaborating with amazing Product and Engineering teams to consistently deliver top tier designs that bring immense value to our community of gamers.

This position requires all hires to be onsite Monday through Thursday out of our Los Angeles (Playa Vista) office, with the option to WFH on Friday.

What You’ll Do

Problem Solving: As a Lead Product Designer, you are a problem solver at heart. You’ll analyze user needs, market trends, competitors, and business objectives to arrive at effective solutions.

End-to-End Design: You will lead the conceptualization and creation of end-to-end designs for new products and features. This includes both native, mobile, and web apps.

User-Centric Design: Understanding user behavior and needs is crucial. You will conduct research and utilize a deep knowledge of design principles to craft highly intuitive products.

Collaboration: You will collaborate cross-functionally to establish goals, principles, objectives, and measurable outcomes. Effective communication and teamwork are essential.

Brand Alignment: You will develop compelling product narratives, visually appealing presentations, and ensure alignment with the Blitz brand identity.

Storytelling: You will enhance the overall perception and desirability of Blitz by crafting compelling narratives around the products you design.

Operationalization: You’ll further operationalize our design process, keeping an eye toward efficiency at scale.

What It Takes

6+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio of shipped products

Expertise in Figma and other design tools

Strong understanding of design principles, methodologies, and best practices

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Passion for creating innovative and impactful products that improve people’s lives

Nice To Have

Experience using Blitz as a gamer and/or playing the games we support

Experience with mod platforms like WeMods, NexusMods, and CurseForge

Familiarity with AI Generative platforms like ChatGPT, Leonardo.ai,Meshy.ai, Convai, and others

Knowledge of accessible design best practices

Familiarity with HTML/CSS and/or React JS

Experience creating and maintaining design systems
