We’re looking for a Biological Market Developer Nordics. Learn how you can be our voice in the conversation about the future of agriculture with the Danish and other Scandinavian farmers and stakeholders within Scandinavian agriculture.

The Biologicals Market Developer Nordics is a product/crop/Biostimulant market expert covering Scandinavia.

You will be a part of the country sales teams while being fully dedicated to the Biostimulant and Biological products and pipeline offer to the Scandinavian farmers and customers. Your daily mission within the Corteva sales team is to support and adress the needs for marketing, commercial and technical assistance with farmers, sales organizations of our customers, advisers and other stakeholders all related to our Biological portfolio.

Corteva sales team brings the customer intimacy and trust relationship when the Biological Market Developer brings the technical credit on a different Biologicals market. You will be responsible for bringing technical data to the market while you also will work closely with the rest of our Nordic and Baltic Biostimulant product team to synthetize the technical information and data into a marketing and commercial program to present to the farmers. You will help the teams ramp up on a different commercial approach: in demand creation and training at the customer and farmer level. You will be accountable for the sales in Scandinavia and assists and train the Corteva sales teams with key customer meetings, referencing new products and supporting both Sell in and Sell Out activities.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Sell-out

Be close to the market in the day to day working with Farmer events, Supporting distributors sales teams, Training advisory organizations.

Ensure knowledge transfer on biologicals portfolio to Customer teams. Participate in the implementation of customer needs regarding biological events and questions.

Prepare and execute the seasonal product campaign in the market working closely with the other functions of the Marketing and supporting your other colleagues within the sales team with your biologicals product expertise.

Develop the Demo Trials Plan with the Technology specialist, to be used actively by the CORTEVA s sales teams at the farmer level together with advisory groups, Dealer customers.

Rolling out the Marketing strategy, voice of the customer for the Marketing Product development team (LPCT)

In coordination with Product and Marketing Manager and the Field Sales Team, build a product/customer segmentation strategy.

Rolls out the new products and helps organizing the Customer endorsement plan (demos and animation)

Work with the Product Manager and Helps on the bottom-up marketing plan and budget requirements for a correct Customer Demand Generation

Active survey of local competitors to inform the Product and marketing team: this business is highly fragmented

Supporting the Sell-in

First sell-in consists in supporting the sales team.

Active support to the Corteva sales teams in the day to day in the markets during the key meetings with key campaign activities and customers:

New products / project reviews

Campaign kickoff meetings

Mid-season and End-season assessments and meetings

Supporting Customers (Dealers and Distributors) sales teams with trainings before/during the selling season

Internal promotion of the Biologicals

Build an internal network with the Nordic and Baltic Corteva teams and functions to ensure a “Biologicals awareness.”

Ensure good integration of the Biocontrol products into the Crop Protection Spray programs.

Active internal survey of local Crop Protection Gaps and Needs to be filled with new Biocontrol portfolio.

Collect competitor’s portfolio information to help the teams know the local business.

Sales planning, forecast and budget.

Give input on monthly basis to the Biologicals Marketing and management teams on the sellout, the market information to help participating to the Demand Reviews

Based on customer information, actively participate to the Budgeting process for Biologicals.

Is accountable to reach the budget / with regular reporting to the sales and marketing management.

Location: Denmark / South Sweden

Reporting line: Sales Manager Nordics

Travel: 30% within Scandinavia while occasional presence in the Copenhagen office

To Grow What Matters, You Will Need

Degree: Academic in Agronomy or significant experience in the Ag business

Other valuable requirements: Sales or Agronomy experience; solid experience with Biostimulants or Plant physiology products; solid background on crop management (main 2 crops of the region) with plant nutrition and soil science experience. Good knowledge of the commercial environment within Denmark and rest of Scandinavia.

Experience: at least 3 years’ experience in similar roles; passed experience on key crops and Field trials and demos implementation; strong business mindset and experience working with biostimulants or crop protection products.

Fluent written and spoken Danish and English. Other Scandinavian languages will be a plus.

Effective public speaking skills. Engage the audience in commercial/technical presentations.

Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.

Results and business oriented. Ability to work closely with customers and respond to their needs.

Problem solving and adaptability.

Good team worker: Being comfortable working in a team and “managing by Influence”

Good listener and interpreter of views from a wide range of inputs.

Great analysis ability.

Effective use of computers and MS Office.
